Folk Dance Remixed is a groundbreaking company creating unique fusions between Folk and Hip Hop styles with live music. Led by Artistic Directors Kerry Fletcher and Natasha Khamjani, the company rediscover old traditions through contemporary forms.
We are hosting an artist sharing day where dancers will have the chance to learn some hip hop & folk dance, and beat boxers will collaborate with musicians. We are partnered and supported by East London Dance and the English Folk Dance and Song Society and are currently supported by Arts Council England. We are creating a new show, Step Hop House, and developing our Street Dance the Maypole workshops and Ceilidh Jam experience. We’ve had 2 hugely successful summer tours so far and we’re looking forward to making 2015 the best yet!
