Folk Dance Remixed’s flagship family show, Step Hop House, is a fresh, quirky, colourful and magical collision of traditional, Hip Hop and Folk dance and music styles: high-energy, with a unique remix of Maypole, Clogging, Ceilidh, Street, House and Breakdance with a hint of African & Bollywood… to a live soundtrack of fiddle & beat boxing – this is Folk and Street Dance like you’ve never seen it before!

Led by Artistic Directors Kerry Fletcher and Natasha Khamjani, we rediscover old traditions through contemporary forms, and take it out on the streets through performances, Street Dance the Maypole workshops, participatory Ceilidh Jams and community projects. We offer inspiring family friendly, culturally diverse, socially inclusive and accessible workshops and projects that get families up and dancing together and strangers holding hands and laughing within minutes. Our work truly touches all that come into contact with it!
